Hydrolyzed Soy Protein

Low risk

Also known as하이드롤라이즈드콩단백질, hydrolysed soy protein

FunctionProtein conditioner

What it is — Hydrolyzed Soy Protein (INCI: Hydrolyzed Soy Protein) is protein from soybean (Glycine max) broken into smaller peptides for conditioning use.

What it does — It forms a light film on the hair surface that smooths the cuticle and improves manageability. It is not a colourant.

Typical use — Shampoos, conditioners, colour shampoos and hair treatments.

Who it suits / good to know — Suits most hair types, including colour-treated hair. Protein effects are surface-level and build with regular use.

Safety — DHALIORA grades it low risk. Soy is a common food allergen; people with a diagnosed soy allergy may prefer to patch-test or avoid it. This is general information, not medical advice.

Why we grade it Low: Low risk — a hydrolysed plant protein in the same class as hydrolyzed keratin, wheat and rice protein; the only practical caution is for people with a soy allergy.
How grades are set — Risk reflects our own reading of publicly available safety data, an EWG-style reading shown at the worst-case grade we've assigned this ingredient across products. It isn't a third party's proprietary score, and it isn't medical advice. Always read the packaging and patch-test where indicated.
