Ingredient
Jasminum Grandiflorum (Jasmine) Flower Extract
Low risk
FunctionBotanical Extract
Jasminum grandiflorum — Spanish or royal jasmine — is the species grown for perfumery in Grasse and India. The flower extract used in skincare is a water- or glycol-based extraction, much gentler than the concentrated absolute: it contributes skin-softening polyphenols and a faint natural sweetness. In formulas it typically appears near the end of the list as part of a botanical bouquet.
Why we grade it Low: EWG-style low. The flower extract is used in trace amounts for skin conditioning; it is far milder than jasmine absolute or essential oil, though very fragrance-sensitive users should note the botanical scent contribution.
