You want PPD off the label
You have read about it, you would rather not have it on your scalp, and you want grey covered properly. Levero is the straightforward answer — the removal is real, it is printed on the pack, and phenacetin went with it.
You have actually reacted to a hair dye
Then read this bit twice. Toluene-2,5-diamine took PPD's place, and people allergic to one very often react to the other. PPD-free is not allergy-free. Patch test 48 hours before every use, and if you have reacted before, treat this like any other oxidative colour.
The rest of what we would tell a friend: the pack says five minutes and reviewers report ten to twenty for full cover. It stains hands, hairline and tiles like any dye — the gloves are in the box for a reason. Apply to dry or towel-dried hair, not soaking wet. Expect the colour to build over two or three washes rather than land in one. And it tends to come out a shade deeper than the name suggests, so if you are between shades, size down.
