Hydrogenated Rapeseed Oil

Low risk

FunctionEmollient

What it is — Hydrogenated Rapeseed Oil is rapeseed (canola) oil that has been hydrogenated for stability, turning it into a soft, semi-solid plant lipid that resists oxidation.

What it does — It reinforces the skin's own lipid film, adds a balmy occlusive touch that slows water loss, and gives lotions body without heaviness.

Typical use — Used in barrier creams, baby lotions and lip care as a structuring emollient.

Who it suits / good to know — Suits dry, sensitive and infant skin; because it is hydrogenated it carries none of the scent or instability of raw seed oils.

Safety — DHALIORA grades it low risk: a stable, fragrance-free plant lipid with a long record of safe use. This is general information, not medical advice.

Why we grade it Low: Low risk — stable, non-volatile plant lipid, fragrance-free.
