Applied it right after it arrived! It's really compact, so it's easy to carry around :)

LOV ROSÉE · Root Touch-Up
Tapped on the hairline, gone from view.
A ten-second cushion-stick cover for roots and partings — in three shades instead of one.
Three seconds on the parting, and it is covered until you next wash your hair.
This is not a dye. There is no PPD, no toluene-2,5-diamine, no resorcinol, no peroxide and no ammonia on the list — it is iron-oxide and titanium-dioxide pigment in a wax and silicone base, pressed onto a twist-up cushion tip. It sits on the strand, covers what shows, and comes off with an ordinary shampoo.
Three shades, not one. Natural Black, Dark Brown and Light Brown — a wider shade range than most cushion sticks in this category, which tend to stop at a single dark shade.
For a few greys, not a full head. Like every pigment stick, it is built for a parting, a hairline or the first few strands — not a full head of grey. Use it for the gap between colourings, not instead of one.
Apply to completely dry hair. On hair that is even slightly damp it will not take. Twist the cap open, press the cushion tip along the direction of hair growth, and build in light layers.
It washes out — which is the point, and the catch. No special remover needed, but sweat and rain will move it, like any pigment-based cover.
3g, pocket-sized. Small enough for a bag or desk drawer — a ten-second fix before you leave the house.
Caffeine, beer yeast extract, and black rice, black sesame and black soybean extracts sit in the wax-and-pigment base. Made in Korea by Cosmax, one of the country's largest cosmetics manufacturers.
Shades: Natural Black, Dark Brown, Light Brown.
How to use: Start with completely dry hair. Twist to open. Press the cushion tip onto the area along the direction of hair growth, layering until the coverage looks right. Wash out with your normal shampoo.
Read before you buy: A cosmetic cover, not a colourant. It does not change your hair and does not last past a wash. If you want permanent coverage, our colour shampoos (GDS, Levero) do that instead.
Ships from Korea, worldwide.
Natural Black, Dark Brown and Light Brown — most pigment sticks in this category stop at a single dark shade, so this is the rare one that most hair colours can actually match.
Iron oxides and titanium dioxide in a wax and silicone base. No PPD, no toluene-2,5-diamine, no resorcinol, no peroxide, no ammonia — nothing here reacts with hair. It screens 31 low-risk ingredients and a single mid-risk one (BHT) out of 32, with zero high-risk ingredients.
Cosmax Co., Ltd. is one of Korea’s largest cosmetics manufacturers, producing for brands worldwide — real manufacturing scale behind a small, inexpensive stick.
Like every pigment cover stick, it is built for a parting, hairline or a few strands — not a replacement for a dye on extensive grey.
This is a newly-listed addition to our GDS hair routine — it has no review history on Hwahae or our own store yet. We will update this once reviews accumulate.
A straightforward, honestly-priced root-and-parting cover with one real edge over the category: three shades instead of one. It will not replace a dye for a full head of grey, and we do not yet have a review history to point to — but the ingredient profile is as clean as anything we carry in this category, and it is made by one of Korea’s largest cosmetics manufacturers.
32 ingredients, listed in label order. Tap any one for its grade and why.
No. There is no dye chemistry in it — no PPD, no toluene-2,5-diamine, no resorcinol, no peroxide. It is iron-oxide and titanium-dioxide pigment in a wax and silicone base that sits on the hair and washes out. Nothing about it is permanent.
No — like any pigment stick, it is built for a parting, hairline or a few strands rather than extensive grey. Use it for the gap between colourings, not instead of one.
Natural Black for black hair, Dark Brown for medium-to-dark brown hair, and Light Brown for lighter brown shades. Match it to your natural colour at the root, not your dyed ends.
Start with completely dry hair — it will not take on damp hair. Twist the cap open, press the cushion tip along the direction of hair growth, and build in light layers. It washes out with your normal shampoo, no special remover needed.
Ships from Korea. After dispatch, typically 7–14 business days to the US, Canada and the UK, and 5–12 business days to Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Friction
Most low ratings come back to two things: picking a shade that is too light (several reviewers wished they had chosen the darker one) and expecting full colour from a single light pass. It is a pigment touch-up, so it can rub off on hands or pillows if you touch the area before it sets.
