What it is — Artemisia Vulgaris (Mugwort) Extract (INCI of the same name) is a plant-derived botanical and a well-known staple of East Asian skincare.

What it does — It is commonly used to help soothe and comfort the skin and to lend antioxidant support, popular in calming, sensitive-skin ranges.

Typical use — It appears in soothing toners, essences, serums, masks and creams as a supporting botanical.
