What it does — It is commonly used to give a bright, citrus-floral scent and sensory character to a formula.

Typical use — It appears at low levels in scented skincare, hair, bath and body products.

Who it suits / good to know — Like most essential oils it can contain fragrance allergens, and cold-pressed citrus peel oils are commonly noted to have phototoxic potential, so it is best approached with care on sensitive skin.
