What it is — Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (INCI: NAD) is a coenzyme found naturally in living cells and derived from vitamin B3. In cosmetics it is used as an antioxidant-type active.

What it does — It is included in antioxidant and age-support formulas to help defend against everyday oxidative stress and to support a healthy-looking surface. Topical cosmetic evidence for it is still developing, so it is best thought of as a supporting ingredient.
