Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans
FunctionHydration
What it is — Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans (INCI: Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans) is a blend of skin-identical-type polysaccharides (including hyaluronic-acid-family molecules) broken into smaller, water-binding fragments.
What it does — It is commonly used to hydrate and to give skin a plump, comfortable, conditioned feel.
Typical use — It appears in hydrating serums, essences, creams and masks as a supporting humectant complex.
Who it suits / good to know — Suitable for most skin types, and often chosen for hydration- and barrier-focused routines. Like other humectants, it performs best sealed in with a moisturizer.
Safety — DHALIORA grades it low risk: a biocompatible humectant complex. This reflects the ingredient in general and is not medical advice; patch-test if your skin is easily irritated.
