How is the ANEAN Curling-Up Hair Lotion different from a curling essence or curl cream?+
It's a water-based, moisture-lotion styling product that holds your wave curls just as well while leaving out silicones and fragrance, so it finishes fresh and non-sticky. We developed this easy-to-use formula from years of hands-on experience with a wide range of Korean and overseas hair products. With no silicone build-up, you get much lighter curls with more volume. And because it uses only reassuring ingredients, it suits sensitive scalps and skin, as well as expecting mothers, parents with young children, pet owners, and the whole family, which makes it more economical too.
How is it able to bring a perm back to life?+
When hair is given enough oil and moisture and wrapped in a soft hydration layer, the curl shape your perm or naturally curly hair already had reappears.
How much should I apply?+
It depends on your hair length, thickness, and styling. Start with a small amount, then gradually add more as needed.
My hair feels stiff.+
Unlike a typical hair essence, the ANEAN Curling-Up Hair Lotion is meant to revive and set wave curls, so the more you apply, the stronger the curl hold. We recommend using a small amount on hair that is wet. Using it together with an oil-based product such as the ANEAN Hair Serum gives a softer finish: 1) Mix the hair serum into the hair lotion and apply. 2) Apply in the order serum then lotion then serum. Softening the hair with serum first and then applying the lotion creates a much softer wave curl.
The scent seems off.+
The ANEAN Curling-Up Hair Lotion is a fragrance-free, unscented product with no added fragrance. Its unscented base smells similar to a pharmacy ointment and disappears right after application. If this bothers you, try mixing a small amount of your usual scented hair product into the lotion. Many of us have had breakouts along the hairline, neck, or jaw after using hair products; the ANEAN Hair Lotion is fragrance-free and silicone-free, so you can use it with peace of mind.
Can I sleep with it on?+
For hygiene and cleanliness, we recommend rinsing it out with shampoo before bed. That said, when you apply the hair lotion and lie down, there's no transfer onto your pillow and no stickiness at all, so don't worry!
Does it protect against heat?+
Because it contains argan oil, it offers hair-protective benefits. However, given the nature of the product, please note that applying it to hair after using a curling iron, airwrap, or dryer helps set and maintain the curl.
