Magnesium Sulfate
FunctionStabilizer
What it is — Magnesium Sulfate (INCI: Magnesium Sulfate), also known as Epsom salt, is a mineral salt used as a formulation stabilizer.
What it does — It is commonly used to help keep a formula uniform and consistent, for example by supporting the structure of certain emulsions.
Typical use — Found in creams, masks, bath products and some emulsions, working in the background rather than as a skin active.
Who it suits / good to know — Broadly compatible; it is a texture and stability aid rather than a performance ingredient, so there is little for the skin to react to.
Safety — DHALIORA grades it low risk in its EWG-style, ingredient-by-ingredient review. This reflects the ingredient in general and is not medical advice.
