What it is — PPG-26-Buteth-26 (INCI of the same name) is a nonionic solubilizer.
What it does — It is commonly used to help disperse oils and fragrance into water-based formulas, keeping them clear, uniform and stable, and is often paired with PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil.
Typical use — Found in toners, mists, essences and fragranced water-based products.
