I’m a 60‑year‑old African American woman, and I absolutely love this product. It’s very easy to use and provides excellent full gray coverage. One of the biggest pluses for me is that gloves aren’t required, and it does not stain—that alone makes it amazing!
My only concern is availability. The product is so good that it appears to be backlogged. I’ve been waiting over a month for my next order, with an ETA listed as May. I’m really hoping it arrives before I run out.I use it twice a month.

Tried one time and didn’t see the effects. My white hair was still white. Then my hubby tried it consecutively for 3 days and his whole head of grey/white hair became ash grey on the 3rd day! So I tried his method and used it consecutively for 2 days and finally I saw the effects of the shampoo! Not all white hair was covered but at least quite a bit of them became less white!
good shampoo
it's good, after I used it, my hair stays soft and not dry at all unlike the other coloring shampoo. However, it is better to use gloves because all my hands and nails were black and took a week to get back to normal without any stains. I would like to see how long it will last.
Super convenient, good coverage and easy to use
This my repeated purchase and I decided to get 3 bottles for a better deal. First time trying the brown colour, it's lighter tone but still cover my white hair well, left it on for 15 minutes instead of 10 minutes for the darker brown one. My natural colour is light brown hair, after using the darker brown one, my hair turned so dark just after washing it 5 times over a period of 3 weeks. So, if your hair is very white or with lots of grays I suggest getting the darker brown one for good coverage. You can reduce the number of wash to adjust the colour. You don't have to use it everyday and 1 bottle last you a long time. I still have my first bottle after 6 months.
The key is apply 4-6 pumps of GDS shampoo, mix well on dry hand and apply it on dry hair for better coverage. I only apply to the roots where the white hairs pop up and mix with water to shampoo it after 10-15 minutes and rinse off. Super easy to use, nice smell (no ammonia smell) and good coverage. It also makes my hair looks so shiny and healthy! Love it and highly recommend it!
Quick and easy fix for your grays!
I had to apply this on 2x as I didn't apply it too well the first time leaving me with some grays on the top of my head. The 1st I did in the shower and lathered it on my head like I every other shampoo/conditioner so it didn't cover my grays like I wanted. The 2nd time I applied it on dry hair before going into the shower but did it im sections of my hair. It turned out much bettee. I love that it's a quick fix and works great. Makes the hair soft and no irritation on the scalp like what I get after coloring my hair. However, it did stain my finger nails and my hair towel a bit. It took a few days to have it washed off my nails. Overall, it does what it's intended to do.

I ordered 2 bottles of gds, and received after about 2 weeks. I only used one time. I used my bared hands without gloves. It washed off with water. I am very happy with the result. My grey hair changed to almost darker. That’s what I want. I think I just need to use it once per month.

The first time I tried the product, it took a while to arrive, and one of the bottles had a broken pump. I had to improvise and put the cap back on to avoid wasting it since it’s a bit pricey. I used it right away; the ads claim it doesn’t stain, but it did stain my hands and caused a slight itch on my scalp. I'm about 60% gray at the roots, mostly stubborn gray, so the recommended three minutes didn't work for me. After two days, I had to use it again because the gray roots were visible once more. Overall, I’m satisfied and will order it again, despite the high price. I gave it four stars because the shipping took longer and the pump on one bottle was broken.
Does what it promises!
Very pleased with the results. Out of the box, only one pump was working, so the first application was a bit uneven. After pumping it a couple of times the other pump started to work, so after 2 applications where I waited 3 min as instructed, all white hairs are gone. The hair also feels very smooth and hydrated. There is no strong smell, and it doesn't stain your skin, even if it looks like it will (on forehead or fingers, or even on the countertop). The product is pricey but definitely worth the investment.
Not in first try
I have very white roots and I'm probably 70% of that. I followed the instructions and actually applied to my dry hair and focused on my roots. Left it on for probably 5-8 mins and then shampooed out. Although there was some coverage, it is a strange dark grayish tone-not the brown warm tone i was hoping for.
